Dieser nur in Englisch abgefasste Bericht zeigt die Prozessverfolgung mit einem mid-FTIR einer Alkoholyse von Acetanhydrid mit Methanol und Schwefelsäure als Katalysator.

Der zeitliche Ablauf zeigt vor allem, dass Nachreaktionen noch längere Zeit sattfinden, auch wenn die thermische Energie scheinbar nicht mehr stark relevant ist.

Daraus ist sehr schön die Synergie zwischen kalorimetrischer und spektroskopischer Analyse zu sehen. Die Spektroskopie hat vor allem den grossen Vorteil, dass sie direkt on-line Resultate liefert, was nur mit einem nicht-isothermen Kalorimeter noch gemacht werden könnte.
